Prepare a small, honest evidence pack, choose brands your audience actually needs and compare the full offer, not just the headline fee. You can build your profile before campaigns are available. A notification list is a way to discover opportunities, not a promise of sponsorship.
Start with the audience, not the subscriber count
A relevant audience is more useful to a brand than a large number without context. Describe who watches your long-form videos, which countries they are in, what they come to learn and which buying decisions naturally fit your topics. A channel about first apartments might suit a moving service. That does not make every housing or finance advertiser appropriate.
Use recent, representative evidence. Show typical performance across several videos and separate the occasional breakout video. State the measurement window and source. Avoid presenting lifetime views as next month’s likely reach, or Shorts views as evidence for a long-form thumbnail placement.
Prepare a one-page sponsor brief
- Your public channel URL, content focus and intended audience.
- Recent long-form examples and a realistic publishing schedule.
- Recent platform-reported reach, audience geography and the period measured.
- The formats you offer: thumbnail placement, a spoken integration or another clearly defined deliverable.
- Any category conflicts, creative boundaries and disclosure requirements.
- A contact method, review timeline and the information you need from the brand.
Do not send login credentials, bank details or identity documents in an unsolicited pitch. FrameYield uses a separate YouTube connection to establish channel control and a Stripe-hosted flow for payout onboarding. The public profile is not a place for sensitive documents.
Compare what the brand is actually buying
A spoken endorsement, a reusable video asset and a thumbnail sponsor rail are different products. Price depends on the work, evidence, rights and restrictions in the agreement. Ask whether the fee covers revisions, paid reuse, exclusivity, a particular publishing date or a minimum delivery commitment.
For a thumbnail offer, check the rail size, sponsor design, gross CPM, creator share, individual cap, campaign window and validation requirements. A $20 gross CPM with an 80% creator share corresponds to $16 for the creator per 1,000 eligible validated impressions, before any applicable taxes or other disclosed deductions. That arithmetic is an illustration, not a market-rate claim or a guarantee that an offer will be available.
How the FrameYield workflow differs
- Discover: browse the campaign page or opt into email announcements.
- Qualify: submit your creator profile and connect the correct YouTube channel. See the current eligibility requirements.
- Decide: review an individual offer with a defined rate, budget cap and deadline. An announcement does not reserve funds.
- Create: choose the approved brand rail, upload your normal thumbnail, preview the combined 1280×720 image and download it. The disclosure is added to the combined image.
- Publish and measure: use the finished thumbnail on the agreed public long-form video and attach its URL. Eligible reporting and validation determine settlement under the payout policy.
The format currently excludes Shorts, Reels and TikTok covers. Channel connection alone does not create a paid placement or a payable balance. You also remain responsible for the platform’s paid-promotion declaration and applicable disclosure requirements; the image label is not a blanket compliance guarantee. YouTube explains its paid-promotion requirements here.
What if there are no campaigns yet?
Get the basics ready without committing to speculative work. FrameYield’s email list is separate from the creator application, free to join and optional. It announces funded campaigns that are open for matching. You decide whether to pursue the opportunity; brands still need a relevant creator and available budget.
You can unsubscribe from any announcement or turn off campaign emails in your account settings. Unsubscribing does not close your account, cancel an accepted campaign or stop necessary payment updates.
Three warning signs in any sponsorship offer
- A payment is promised without a written deliverable, deadline and evidence standard.
- You are asked to pay an unexplained fee to unlock a guaranteed sponsorship.
- The brand expects undisclosed advertising, invented results or access to your account credentials.
